In Memoriam...Pierre died on August 20, 2009

We are sorry for this great loss to us as a family and to our breeding program. He was a phenomenal horse and will be long remembered. For those of you who knew him, we offer this: He had faced some severe "colic" all summer (2009). After many vet trips and countless blood tests, whatever was affecting him affected his heart and the end came. Looking back we believe that he was in a lot of pain over the past couple of years but handled it his own way.

We just called him " Pierre ." He was our senior stallion for the past 15 years and he was producing quality colts both of size and color.  "Pierre" was the product of two top Morgan Horse breeders. His sire is H Bar Saracen out of Chingadero from the Ab Cross Ranch in Dubois Wyoming. His Dam is Leesa Lass out of Shawnee Lass from the Ramul Dvarshkis Ranch of Hamilton Dome, Wyoming. Pierre had everything from athletic ability and willingness to work, as well as disposition and conformation. These are some of the traits that make up good horses. Pierre had them all. He stood just under 16 hands and offered everything that the Morgan reputation demands. Pierre produced over 75% Palomino and Buckskin colts.  One more thing....the disposition of this stallion was incredible.   He was so quiet and gentle.  Prospective breeding customers are welcome to handle him, ride him and after doing so were quickly "sold" to breed their mare(s) to him.   No matter, experienced, a novice or even a child, Pierre was what his name implies, a Gentlemen! Pierre's Bloodline. We will long remember him and are thankful to the Lord for allowing us to have this wonderful Morgan Stallion for as long as we did. At his death the AMHA (American Morgan Horse Association) told me that he had 96 foals registered to his name. By the end of this years registration there will be well over 100 registered foals an unknown number of others that he sired since we purchased him in 1994.
